MORE than 50,000 shoppers may have lost £2.5million in the collapse of furniture chain Courts.
An emergency line set up by administrators has gone into meltdown as furious families try to ring in.
Many of them had put down £50 deposits before the stores closed. But some have lost thousands.
Customers who paid with cash, debit cards or cheques become “unsecured creditors” and may lose their money.
Credit card users should quickly contact their card provider.
