On Saturday 6th i purchased an IPOD and yes got it for £104.43 with £15 free itunes and free £10 voucher.

Now the trouble is my brother purchased the exact same one as it is a christmas present for my dad. So i therefore wanted to take mine back as it hasn't been opened or touched - is exactly how i purchased it. Argos won't accept it back as it is apparently exempt from the 30 day guarantee. Now no one in Argos told me this - not when i paid my money and not when i collected it.. I didn't see the little sign in the book.

What can i do - i am now left with this IPOD down £104 in my bank. Surely Argos has to take this back????

    HELP!!!!!!!!

Usually the cashier or 'collection' assistant at Argos will highlight the exempt section to prove they have told you. if this is not circled / initialed it might be worth speaking to a manager to explain you were not told?
  • Thanks - the only thing they have circled on my receipt was that they have given me the £15 itunes voucher nothing else.

I shall give it a go!

    Thanks:o

Well I tried this and she basically called me stupid for not seeing the tiny sign in the book and also a liar because she said someone would have told me at the cash desk!

I will write a complaint letter as I don't think this is really customer satisfaction, I would have thought they had a legal right to make sure I was happy with what I was purchasing and to then say that I am stupid etc just annoys me even more. So basically could not get a refund.
