HM bread question

in Old style MoneySaving
have dug my breadmaker out of the cupboard and have started to make my own bread but find its not as sweet as shop bread, is it just the taste of additives i am missing? can you add something else? even tried milk bread as thought that might be sweeter than a normal white loaf but it wasn't.

    I make my bread in my Breadmaker all the time ,,now I put in half marg and half oil,,,and also half honey and half sugar that may help ,, with the sweetness

    I make seedy bread with white flour and put in seeds of all descriptions,, it is nice
