They love passing the buck and the speciality is never returning phonecalls. Im just interested if anyone else has had problems with them in the past or recently. Im sure they have not many returning customers as anyone I have spoken to about it recently have all had something bad to report about the company. The store im having problems with at the moment is in Bangor, but im pretty sure they are all the same. Look forward to your feedback and totally sypathise with anyone who is going through what im going through.

    This was my reply,

Yep same here - ordered online mid november delivery was due anytime after 30th nov. Contacted me on a thursday to say delivery was on the friday. My mum came round because I was working on this particular day and they didn't turn up! I rang customer services only to be told the lorry had broke down earlier that day and that they would be delivering on the sat. OK I said so why was I not informed then ? The person from TNT home said 'well everyone else was ' . Anyway 8 pm came on the friday and I had 2 calls - one appologising for being late ! and another saying it would not be possible to deliver on the sat because it was in a compound and was there all weekend !! . Totally fed up I rang cus. serv. and had a right go- only to be fobbed off with ' the manager wasn't there' . I was told however delivery would be thursday - a week late!!! . I kept ringing to have a chat to a manager and there was never anyone there ! . Eventually I got a directors phone number and gave him a piece of my mind . Got the usual sorry sir bull and assured me he would personally sort out some compensation (free delivery ) . Here i am a week later no calls no componsation and to put the icing on the cake a suite which when we ordered it was stone colour and arrived a buttermilk colour !!!!! TOTAL AND UTTER crap service dont touch em wiv a barge pole people!

Update : Still waiting for the correct colour to be delivered!

My sister has a couple of the 'cheaper' Klippan leather sofas from Ikea. She bought them long before we had an Ikea here in MK, from the Wednesbury store near Birmingham.

They delivered for her (at a charge!), but the sofas themselves are lovely - even though they're the cheapest Ikea do, the leather is very good quality and she had no problems with Ikea at all.

If you live near(ish) an Ikea, it may be cheaper to hire a van and get the sofa yourself.

I was so impressed with her sofas that I'm getting one for myself in the next couple of weeks :j

  • I had to write in reply to the Harveys debate, I ordered my 2 leather sofas (Laura range) from Harveys in mid November with an approx delivery date of end of december . I called them in the middle of December to ask if they had an approx date and they quoted december 20th. On the day before atfer 2pm you can call them and they will give you a 2 hour timeslot, which they did, and hey presto they arrived at the exact timing and on the exact date. And I have to say I am more than pleased with the sofas so far. Obviously it is still early days with regard to the quality sofas but with regard to ordering and delivery I cannot complain. Just thought I would put some peoples minds at rest in case they had already ordered before reading the horror stories!!!!
Hope that helps some people and I am sorry to read that others are having a nightmare.
