I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this thread.....
I received some beautiful cutlery set - which looks like Gold!!! but its brass,
We have used them several times at dinner parties but now the colour is going off & losing their shine.
i have seen Brasso in shops but is it ok to use on cutlery? do i wash the cutlery after - as worried about toxic poisoning?!
are they actually meant to be used or displayed?!
suggestions will be appreciated - thanks

Brasso is fine to use on cutlery, just wash and dry thoroughly after cleaning.
My mother has a brass set that gets used every so often, it's always cleaned with Brasso, and we're all still alive
