Amazon MP3 store

Apologies if already posted.

Just spotted (hidden away at the top right corner of their site) that Amazon.co.uk are now offering DRM-free MP3s. Tracks from 59p, and albums from £3. Can go on Ipods too.

I think you need to download their software first.

  • Hi, this is my first post so bear with me!

I've been on the Amazon site today and had a go at downloading a music track which cost me 59p. You do indeed have to download their software which is just a little application that downloads your songs, creates a folder (it created one for me in my Music folder) and then opens up your default music program (either iTunes or Media Player) so you can play the song. It all seemed very quick and easy and there are loads of great offers on there - the new Take That and Kings of Leon albums are only £3 each for example! Bargain!

Thanks OP. Great heads up. I have just downloaded Seasick Steve's latest album for £3, easily the best download price. Being a bit of a technophobe I was somewhat worried about having to download software. But as Robbo01 rightly said, it was a piece of cake and now directs the download straight into itunes, with the artwork etc.

    once again, great spot..thanks
