How much JSA

Hi,
My partner is self employed and in the building trade, and they are having problems at the moment what with the credit crunch. The company he has his contract with has told him they only have 2 more weeks work left and then they have nothing else for them so he will be unemployed. What I would like to know is could someone please help me work out what we would get on JSA.
We have been told he would get income based JSA for a couple and that he can claim child tax credits for our son. What I would like to know is both my son and me are registered disabled. My son is waiting to hear if he will get any DLA and I get high rate Mobility DLA. Are we entitled to any premiums with our benefit with this. I have tried reading online but can't work out what we would get.
I am trying to get sorted out now so we can budget our money. We have no savings but also no debt and would rather stay that way. I think from what I was reading we would get both our rent and council tax paid for, but I can't work out how much we would have in money coming in.
Thank you very much for any help you could give me

You should already be claiming child tax credits for your son, employment has no bearing on whether you are eligible or not.
CTC can be financially rewarding, especially if a child is disabled.0 -

Thats not true, you will be on the basic amount due to your partners earnings, not your childs non eligibility for DLA.
If your partner has a drop in income this will obviously push up your tax child tax credit award, it will then be boosted further if your son is awarded DLA.0 -
You will get joint JSA of £94.95 a week. Child Tax Credit would be £2085 Child Element plus £2540 disabled child element a year once he is awarded DLA which works out at £88 a week, plus £20 child benefit so in all, you'd have roughly £200 a week plus your and your sons DLA. In addition to that, you'd be able to claim council tax benefit and LHA.
In short, you should have in excess of £1200 a month to put food on the table, light and heat the home and pay the bills so you should be more than OK. Remember that the costs of your husbands dinners at work and travelling won't exist any longer.0 -
