Hun, it says the 17th so that's wednesday
I would also like to know this!! I thought the sales started boxing day though?
Ooooooo... someone with the 'inside' info, let us know!!! xxxx
Thank you Becky for saving me gross embarrassment, by pointing out that I was going to be the only saddo walking round Boots tomorrow yelling "Where's the stuff that's supposed to be in the sale then! Have you saved it all for yourselves! Give the rest of us a chance!" ........ and I had the wrong date.
The reason why I think I did this, was because Someone Else (always blame another person, never admit you're senile!) said that the sales always start on a Tuesday.
Er, um, think that's what happened, don't really know now.All the excitement of X Factor and Strictly has sent me doo-lally (or more doo-lally than usual!)
But I am really anxious to hear if it's true from the posters who say "I know for a fact ...." blah blah is being reduced. And Someone Else, about a thousand posts ago, said that they knew the date, and couldn't tell us, or would they, no they wouldn't, and we all got very frustrated!! :mad:0 -

I think lots on here did that last year!
Might be best to buy the sale stuff first then return your items just to make sure you get it, 'cos I think popular stock goes quite quickly.
I don't know if anyone has actually had the nerve to return their items and then immediately rebuy the same ones at the sale price :rotfl: (would love to hear about that if anyone did!)
and please Mr B, Tue for the sale would be much more convenient for me. lol0 -

Well, they showed on the TV people who did this in the M & S sale, and the queue for returns at Marble Arch was about a mile long! I think the key to all this is to do whatever you feel comfortable with.
Personally, as long as I'm not physically stealing anything, I can't see the problem. By the same token, if people want to buy 24 bags that begin with "F" (daren't type this, cos I'm sure I'll get it wrong!), and sell them on ebay, that's their perogative.
Loads of people on here say they make multiple purchases, and give the surplus to charity, and if they do - good luck to them, and if they sell them, well good luck to them too - they're not hurting anyone!
I have to laugh when I remember mimi1234's post that he'd bought multiple purchases of something, and someone said he was being greedy and should have left them for others. He replied "Well, I'm going to buy 2 meal deals tomorrow - is that OK with you?"
Split my sides with that!0 -

I did this last January. I had bought 7 of the Large Ruby Wax bags at £12 each. The following day they were reduced to £3.
I took them back, explained to the SA that I wanted a refund (because they were now a quarter of the price) and to buy them back. I dont think she believed me really.
She gave me the refund and I then said I wanted to buy back the same bags I had just returned. She told me I couldn't. I asked why and she said I had to buy them off the shelves. I explained that there was only one on the shelves, but that there were now 7 more back in their stock system.(Mine)
I was very polite, and said if she wanted I would carry my returns back to the shelves, and then pick them straight up and carry them back to the tills, but what was the point when they were already here.
She appeared a bit shell shocked, especially as I paid for them with points 3600, but good enough she did the transaction. As I was saving £63 on one transaction, I felt quite justified in my request. They were massive too, so I looked like a sorry sight carrying them all.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

In my Boots you'd be told that the returned items would be put back on the shelves at some time later in the day, and if you happened to see them you could buy them then (this is the voice of bitter experience!)0

:T :T I just won this (in with a set of other garnier goodies), only used it two days so cant swear by it, but it does leave your eyes cool and refreshed. Will post in a few weeks and let you know what its like then, if that is any good hth
How did you win it if you don't mind me asking? A lot of people seem to be winning them left right and centre!0 -

I did the quick shop code on the fcuk bags on line and it works!!! Was able to add 3+ to my bag one by one. Unfortunately i want to pay by points so i cant justify paying. This might help u others wanting one.
Dont buy too many coz i want to go in store tomorrow and order one with points (bet theyre all gone)!!
