    is it possible to get work as a general laborour? I know it will pay less but it's money coming in regardless of how much IYSWIM?

    been trying to get this type of work, but as i have just recently moved ( 2 months ago) i dont know that many people in the little village i have moved to. the word has been put about, but i think its the whole building trade slowing down this time of year again too

    Fair enough. Moving can be tough.

    Have you tried priting off flyers for general handy man stuff in the area. I would imagine as a bricky you would be pretty handy with just about anything DIY based?

    Hate to say it but failing that you could always look at someting out of the building trade just till the Xmas slump ends like Tesco's etc. not brilliant but it's a start
