I guess its that time of year when got run of bills and xmas and not saved up as I said i would last year and the year before.
Am looking for p time job to no avail and selling lots just to get by being quite ruthless but house needs a declutter.
Started to get down today and wondered does anyone feel same?
Im trying to stay positive and hoping 2009 be better than 2008 as had rough year want to try and get debt free next year or at least large chunk paid off.
Will definatly save food stamps 2009 and maybe pressies fund in savings.
Am fed up of worrying about money and post and phonecalls.
Ant tips on staying positive?

Hi Gailey,
It's hard sometimes and we all have off days but I just try and focus on the day I am debt free and can post it up here and be proud of myself. It will take a while but I am focussed now. There are still lots of people laden down with shopping bags and haven't had their lightbulb moment yet so be proud of yourself that you are tackling your debt.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Yes sems like evryones still spending despite credit crunch but there are super bargains out there to tempt people I guess.
Im trying to be sensible this christmas and not go beyond my means.
I Guess xmas 2009 be better if I was debt free! I always get bit down this time of year thsi is first xmas since I was 15 that I not worked but will continue the hunt that fits in around childcare and hubbys job.
last year worked silly hours so guess at least I get to spend more time with family this year.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

You need to focus on the positive things...count up how much you have paid off, you have a roof over your head and you have managed to get this far & juggle everything.
Keep at it, debt-freeness may seem a long way off, but you will get there

I agree, just try to focus on the positive. It is hard and I will find it hard in Dec and Jan cos my debt won't go down much but we have the rest of 2009 to make big dents!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I am in the same boat, i've done very well on ebay but i've had trouble with unscrupulous buyers and i'm racking my brains thinking of ways to advertise the shop. I struggle....but I try to remember that the most pleasurable things are cheap or free. For me they are sex (even by yourself
), conversation, books, running and dancing. £1600 overdraft
