  • Well guess what?
There's still one left in my local branch - see my post three above.
If anyone has an address they can find on their database, it's the Bishop Auckland branch.

I bought two freeview boxes in the Woolies sale this week for just over £11 each
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • Do all these boxes have the Digital Tick indicating they are ok past the Switch Over??

I managed to pick up the Hitachi HDB73 in Argos for £19.49 yesterday. The reviews do look good for it, so I'm hoping it will be well received as a Christmas present!

(Cinders2001 - yes, the one I picked up does have the digital tick on the box)

I hope they don't go wrong, because you will not be able to take them back to Wollies under the guarantee, and the manufacturer does not have to deal with you as your contract under SoGA is with Woolies who will not be there next year.

Not recommended to purchase electrical items from a company that is closing down, you have no comeback with warranties.

I am aware of that but for that price its worth the risk, the odds of it not working are slim

  • I also bought 3 of the Woolies boxes yesterday. Surely the contract under SoGA is with Woolworths receiver so should be OK.
