Just got a bed and mattress from MFI.
Should have been £399 in their sale.
I argued that the original prices were too high and that it wasn't a real sale. Printed off a few websites with the mattress for cheaper. Managed a £50 reduction in price and free delivery (worth £20).
Even in the sale (which ends 31st Jan) at MFI I wouldn't pay the price on display.

MFI always seem to have a sale on - probably because the stuff is hugely overpriced in the first place :rolleyes:0

The MFI sale has been on since at least 1986.
Never known them to not have a sale.0 -

MFI may wish to always have a sale but are legally obliged to have periods without a sale. These short periods allow them to legally claim a sale for most of the year. The last 'standard price' period was for 4 weeks and ended on 19th Dec 05 and I have the price list. I doubt if many bought anything at these prices because they are silly!Cash ISA rate 6.5% fixed for 2 years. Mortgage rate 0.75% = 5.75% profit on £75K = £4500 per year:j
Mortgages make money. Definitely don't wanabee mortgage free!0 -
Didn't they have a buy one and get one free during that period?
I'm quite sure they did, because I have been keeping an eye on sofas.I started off with nothing and I've still got most of it left.0 -
I know you can use Tesco clubcard vouchers in MFI - but when you buy anything can you use your clubcard to get points? Thanks.
If this is in the wrong section please could someone remove it to the right one! Thanks.0 -
Yes, you can definitely get tesco clubcard points. I got them when I bought bunkbeds for the kids.0

I just spent £1000 on a bathroom there (and negotiated a further £100 of fittings free!).
I paid with my Tesco credit card - will I get the points or would I get more if I went in and flashed my Clubcard?0
