Just a few minutes before reading this post I had ordered a Peppa pig snort grunt sticker book and CBeebies sticker book and other bits on amazon as stocking fillers, I had Peppa pig little library in my basket and decided to not buy it as it was £3.99 and I am trying to spend as little as possible on a few last bits for the kids!

Luckily I read this in time I just cancelled the stickers books on amazon which came out at £6.98 and bought the same on this offer AND the Peppa pig little library for £7.81 meaning the little library just cost me 83p! :j Well pleased! Thanks

Be careful with Waterstones. It doesn't let you know whether the item is in stock until after you have placed an order. Still have a book outstanding from about 4 weeks ago.

Gambler is right 3 things have been put on hold out of 4, I have cancelled 2 and hope the 3rd comes at some point. :rolleyes:

Hmmm.... my order says 'goods have yet to be received from supplier' - depite saying they are in stock on the order page! There is no expected date given.... will they be here for Christmas???

I ordered the Peppa pig little library books and got an email after saying they are out of stock and on order with supplier. Not holding out much hope of them coming for christmas but I'll take the chance as they work out half the usual price.

edit; I just checked and Charlie & Lola say despatch in 24 hrs which means they are in stock, also the Dora little books are too. The ones I got cancelled were all items with 7-10 days on. HTH

I've ordered a childrens book on there this afternoon too, using the discount code (cos I got it on email from them) & despite it showing that there are 2 books in stock & despatch is within 24hrs, they subsequently sent me an email saying the supplier was out of stock & has ordered more from the publisher - but no timescale given & therefore no idea if it will appear for Xmas!

Seems a bit suspicious that the orders using the codes "suddenly" can't be fulfilled - its not like the book I ordered was expensive & it wasn't a popular book (just a book on Aesops Fables) so its not like there should have been a huge demand in the 30 mins it took for them to email me with the bad news!!

I've cancelled the order, as I'd rather buy something elsewhere than hang around waiting for something that doesn't arrive.

They did a similar thing last Xmas & despite assuring me via telephone that it would arrive before Xmas, nothing materialised & at the time I was housebound (on crutches!) so I had to send hubby out on Xmas Eve to buy it from a bookshop (he was not impressed!!) I wouldn't chance it again! Its not worth it!
