Lovefilm - I love em

I registered with Lovefilm a while ago, first onto an expensive package (to get cashback), then I downgraded to 2 DVDs a month for £3.99. Since I've signed up they've given a free rental and 2 £5 vouchers to spend at Lovefilm!
It's worth signing up just for the free gifts! (ps. I don't work for them lol

Nice. But not really a grabbit though is it ?0

Well this seemed like the best place to put it. They're giving everyone a free christmas gift!0

I didn't get a christmas gift

I got a free christmas gift 5pound voucher code. Load of rubbish it never worked. I emailed them but they have never got back to me!!0

I got an email back from them within a few days saying the voucher was now working, and it did work! My brother's voucher worked straight away.0

I think they're rubbish - unlike Amazon, who they took over (in DVD rental terms, not altogether, obviously), they never appear to have any of the DVD's we want in stock, and instead palm us off with some rubbish off the bottom of the list, or even the same one we've seen before (they've done that twice!).
Appalling service. Also, lots of the DVD's are scratched/poor quality.
Anyone got a recommendation for a better DVD rental company? I've had enough of lovefilm, for sure.
Thank you!0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.0

Don't go with the SUN
At least LoveFilms website is usable - friends of mine went with the sun's dvd club and they must have like 6 dvds
As for lovefilm sending you the disks you dont really want, try a little reverse logic.
Put all the ones you don't want as HIGH and the ones you do as LOW.....you might be surprised as to what happens :cool:0 -
Blockbuster.co.uk is good!
Theres a months free trial with unlimited rentals.......2 at a time on their website.
Also if you search you can find a code that increases the months unlimited rentals to 3 at a time!!!
They dont accept Electron cards though....so be warned!0
