DH has given me a £2 coin this morning before he went to work

    Tea
    x

given ? I have to trade equivalent other coinage to get one from DH, but he does seem to be a £2 coin magnet. £14 banked yesterday, £34 banked on 31st Dec, one £2 put back in to 'seed' the pot and another 2 this morning :j

serial lurker by the way, hello
  • After a shoogly start £2 coins now seem to be creeping into circulation :j

Was being to think that they were avoiding just me but after reading this thread my mind is now at rest!

    Another two received today!

    Hugs

Decluttering, home-making and 'proper' cooking are my priorities this year and trying to finish all those unfinished hobby projects before spending any more money!

  • Hi,
    Can I join too please.
My dad has done this for a few years now. Before Christmas, he gave me a full tin. He knew it was going to be a dismal time for us (no money, 3 children and hubby was in a car crash, that was not his fault, that wrote off his car and left him injured) The tin had £300 in it!!
I have since got my own jar and it has £10 so far.
I also have another for my coppers, when it is full I take it to the change machine in Sainsbury's and it goes towards that weeks shopping. It holds about £20.
    Thank you.
    Finally dealing with our debts.

I collect mine in a a tin, but empty it using a (palette) knife. Curiously a skill learned in childhood !?
