I've got 4 in my purse, not sure where they came from, but as I spent all £40 that I had saved in £2's I am very happy to have them. I bought a family pass to Kingston Maurward - beautiful gardens, some animals to look at, and a play area with sandpit and loads and loads of space for small people to run around and fall over in. I've been wanting one for ages and couldn't afford it before, but my saving habit has paid off and I (and the ankle biters) are very happy to be able to go there. Back to square one with the pot, but I have already got £10 in there, so I think that I will save up for some more nice things - thanks for whoever thought up this fab idea!:jMoney saving eco friendly Fertility reflexology specialist :j0

Haven't been on for a while, but thought I would let you know about the traumatic expierience of last weekend. I am collecting lovely £2 coins for hubby Chrimbo pressie, ergo he doesn't know. So I had 3 in the side pocket of purse waiting to go in tin, and hubby decided, very benevolently, to go fetch the weekend papers- taking ALL 3 coins with him (strange, as being a bloke he doesn't normally deal with 'shrapnel'). When I got up, I saw the papers, and GALLOPED to my purse to find it bereft of coins- was highly traumatised and unable to say owt as hubby doesn't know. On checking his pockets I found 2 left- huge sigh of relief and quickly put them in the 'secret tin'. Had to play dumb later when needed change to park and had none- hubby was adamant he'd had change (!!) I just muttered that I was sure it would turn up (as if!!) and nipped quick-like off to local papershop for parking change. Whole expierience was horrifying :-)!! I would have came and divulged earlier but its taken me this long to get over the fact 1 whole £2 coin slipped from my grasp. Anyway over it now <sniff> but we must never speak of it again!!
Have a fab friday y'all x x x
Great tale Sheba, made me laugh:rotfl:. I was a bit obsessed like that too but must confess I haven't been very good about saving them recently so need to get back into the habit. I think I've got 2 in my money box  so must try harder.0 -
Aquired one from the till at work in exchange for a reciept from some posting I did this week. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I got my first in AGES yesterday! I kind of slipped of the £2 bandwagon by paying for things on my card, rather than with cash, hence, no coins! I put it in the pot with great ceremony! Then counted it up. Currently have £40, which is what I have saved since January. Going to have to raise my game if I want these savings to pay my £120 car tax next January!Because it's fun to have money!
