Reclaiming PPI -Claim what's Yours Online

Could I please have some advice on a loan I took out with the Halifax last year.I took out PPI with them to be safe as I thought.Unfortunately I was made redundant on Dec.28th.
I started to look for a job but to no avail and started having trouble with my right hip,I already have a left hip replacement.I saw my doctor and she immediately put me on the sick.I contacted the insurance and gave them all the details with doctors reports and unemployment details and they wrote back and I quote"Under the terms of your policy your illness must have commenced at a time when you were in work.I note that your illness commenced on January25th 2008 and you were last employed on Dec.28th so it is clear you were not working when your illness commenced.
Unfortunately,in veiw of this we cannot proceed with your claim".
They are still taking £24 out of my account for PPI every month and I have received two letters charging me £35 each from Halifax for reminding me I hav`nt been keeping my repayments0 -
Surely if you were made redundant prior to becoming ill you should have been able to claim on the unemployment part of the policy? I would put another claim in as there is obviously an issue here.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0
