A really warm welcome to the thread focus888, belated welcome to MSE also. Lovely to meet you and I hope you enjoy yourself here. Have fun with saving, it's addictive mind, so be warned.! You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 2 of page 1, read through posts 1 & 2 as it'll help you with any queries.

Yoohoo Our Elsie! I see we've both had the sun shinning on us (the righteous) today! By heck we must be good!! :T:j

Hiya LC!!! Good to see you having the chance to chat to us a little. It sounds as though you're enjoying the work even if it is tiring. Hopefully you'll soon get used to it and get a routine at home, can't do it all at once though! Whith E-bay LC is it fairly easy to work with putting things on? I've gone there many a time with big ideas, then bottled it. I've bought a couple of things, but never sold. Have a few things that could go, so what d'you reckon??

Good for you in helping others Nuala! :T That's one thing with us all knowing what it's like to be in a bit of a financial pickle at times, we're always far more able to understand, listen and help others the same. We wouldn't be able to if we didn't know what it was like!

Wondered where you'd got to LC2, great to see you, though you can behave and NOT be heading for the naughty step AGAIN!!!

Raining where you are then Sparky? Darn shame, beautiful day here!!! :D Don't forget that bathroom if it's wet tomorrow mind!! :rotfl:

DaisyChainMaker - Saving for a holiday for yourself and your daughter seems a wonderful idea, all the best in achieving it!

focus888 - we'll do our best in encouraging you to keep motivated, though you sound as though you've got yourself sorted out well.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone, really enjoy the day, the sun too - if you have it! :D

Sue. New friends wishing to join us, please just ask and I'll be with you ASAP.

    Morning everyone,:hello:

Its another sunny day here in Yorkshire, and you're right Sue-UU, we are definitely very good.! (smug look).:A The only thing is when its sunny I start looking around for more washing to do, its not worth putting the machine on for half a load - I know I'm sad, but I can't bear the thought of wasting free drying time.!

Little Chicken - glad to hear you are enjoying your new job,:T and I am sure it will get easier. I worked full time with 3 teenage sons still at home and never ending housework, but once you are in a routine, then you seem to make time for yourself.;)

Sparky, had to laugh at your pup wanting to go out in the rain, it made me remember when we had our 2 dogs.:D We could walk them for miles and be exhausted ourselves, and we would just get home and they would be ready to go out again whatever the weather, pity we're not as tireless.

Lucky Charlie, nice to see you here again, was wondering where you were .Hope you are feeling better now. I'm also trying to save up for another little break, I enjoyed it that much. I'm going to list some more items on e-bay later, but I also find it a bit of a chore. Its the listing that annoys me the most. Still, needs must.:rolleyes2

Right off to do a bit more, just another 13p in coppers into potty today, hope everyone has a good day and keep saving everyone.:T:T

  • Thankyou Sue_UU for giving me a number and your nice comments. This is a great thread and a fantastic idea. I can't wait for my sealed pot to arrive. Im currently saving though and yesterday counted up the money in my cup and I had a staggering £10.50 already, only been saving a week. My flabber was gasted.

I will soon have my big sealed tin full (when it arrives) and be able to book a holiday. Infact I got so excited I got two sealed tins, and thought I would wait till both are full then get a really nice holiday as will be able to afford passports then too. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek << excited squeel from me lol

So mr lc didn't return from wembley until 10.30pm last night:mad: He is a very naughty boy, so as punishment I liberated 2 large golden coins from his jeans this morning.

Not sure what we're up to today, but hoping for a nsd so probably no change in the pottie. Have already made a sale on ebay which is good.:D Sue, my philosophy on selling is if it's just sitting around doing nothing in your house then you might as well try to make some pennies on ebay. I try to go round the house and list things in one go as it is very boring. Then if it doesn't sell it's off to oxfam.:A I find that you can never guess how much something will sell for, some things that I think are ugly get more money than things I really like. So I'm not sure if there's any skill in it. Good photos make all the difference though.

It's a lovely day here, hope it is where you are too. LCx

Hi Sparky. I'm really enjoying the job, but I do feel quite tired when I get home, so I've been a bit rubbish at doing both the housework and my usual additional DFW things such as picking up mystery shops and ebaying. I'm hoping to get lots listed tonight/tomorrow. But then of course it's a pain getting to the post office as there's not one near my office. Oh well!!! We can't have it all I guess. Luckily the rain's staying away so far :0)

Hi Little Chicken :T I have missed you! I'm always rubbish at housework, maybe I should get a full time job so I have a decent excuse? :o

You'll get used to working again soon, wishing you the bestest. :D
I don't get to come on here too often.
