    Sealed Pot Challenge # 007
  • Morning all, still having laptop issues I'm afraid, and between that and working loads of overtime (it dries up when the football season has finished!) I've not been able to get online as much as i'd like to be able to back my mate Sparky up with you fiesty females! lol.

I'm keeping the change and road kill in the pot fear not, and hope you're all ok! Catch you laters.

    Hello everybody,

I've repaid the $17.00 IOU to the sealed pot, it's dragging on paying $1.00 as and when, although I haven't really got it to spare but we'll see how we go.

  • Hi everyone, sorry I've been AWOL. I've been practicing for the presentation I gave this morning. It went OK, although I was very nervous. Hopefully I'll hear if I'm through to the next - and final - interview stage on Monday.:A
Hope you're having a lovely day off Elsie, the sun is shining here. :D
Glad to see you're still alive Stunty - we know it's not very MSE to turn down overtime so we'll let you off.

Anyway I think Sparky secretly likes being the olny male here - all that attention we give him.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sue - I still can't believe that we're getting so many newbies. Maybe we'll be 500 by december.:j
So back to the challenge - I've put a few golden coins in the pottie, but am properly poor at the mo - mystery shopping has dried up, so fingers crossed for the new job.;)
Well. I am going to disappear again for the weekend as the in-laws are visiting.
So. I'll catch you all on Monday. Lcxxx

:j Hi Sunshine girl and welcome to the board. You are all set to start saving now.

I don't think there is anything you need to know......we are very good savers and we don't count our pennies or open our tins ( well some of us are guilty of this),:o hence the title of SEALED pot challenge, but the guys on here usually let you off if it was really necessary to get at the dosh. !!

I am not to be trusted :o so my pot lives in the loft and only comes out to be fed once a week, but you will find there are loads of strong willed people on here who never touch their pots, except to fill them. !:A

We are all probably quite mad, and will do anything to find some 'Roadkill', but Sparky will give you instructions on how to find that.

:hello: Welcome to the challenge Sunshine girl and 2705 I won't forget your name cos its my birthday!! Hope you both save lots and lots.

Elsie its a lovely day here as well spent about an hour getting the children's play tent up then had just got it right and it was time to pick the others up from school not a popular idea as you can well imagine. Its been one of those days made cakes with the little 3 year old and while my back was turned he decided to add the flour and in the process knocked over the mixture but they still turned out ok thank goodness

Hi LC I'm sure your presentation went fine enjoy your weekend can see my DH wanting a BQ if this weather last.

Stunty we are all being very well behaved for Sparky but it will be nice to have you back.

Well not much in my pot but £8 in my £2 pot so can't be too bad

Have a nice evening everyone glad we are keeping you busy Sue with all these new members x LC2

hey to the newbies, we arent half as mad as we first appear, honest! :D

No news from my bottle other than the vodka smell is finally fading - would it be odd to tip the dregs of another bottle in there to refresh the scent instead of just drinking it? ;)

Noticed when I was sorting washing this morning that my Dads two money boxes of change are rather full, over flowing in fact, so might offer to sort and bag them for him in exhange for the 'extras' which dont make up full changes bags for him. He used to let me and my sister do that as kids so I figure theres no reason he should refuse now - after all as he observed last night when he walked in to my sitting room to find me watching the Spongebob Squarepants movie and studying at times it looks like I am still 13 or 14 not nearly 24. :p
