my first roadkill today :j so pleased :D even though it was just 1p :rotfl:

stuck a five pound note in my pot the other day and also raided my OH's wallet.

have collated a small pile of change on my kitchen table to put in the pot

Have decided that rather than put my £2 coins in my terramundi pot or my sealed pot, im saving them on my mantlepiece and when I get enough to fill the money bag (£20), will use to pay off my credit card. might only be the odd £20 here and there but they are much more useful paying off my CC rather than sitting in a pot for the rest of the year.

A couple of years ago, I saved over £280 in a teramundi pot which wasnt even half full! I had to get my OH to drill into the pot so I could get at the money and not damage the pot too much :rotfl:(to buy a coat in Debenhams I had seen which actually turned out to be horrid!) sorry slightly off topic but thought I would share :D
  • Thanks Stunty and Sue for voting for me. If anyone else wants to pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeas do - I was top-4, but I'm not anymore:eek:

Sparky - that's a VERY specific target - wot you gonna buy?;););)
    Save me from spending...

Hey sure thing where do you live?!?:p I actually live with 5 other students so not sure you'd actually want them round your house... I only seem to find money on a Sunday evening, cos they all lounge around from going out...

    Tom

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! you're a student...I've had my fare share of them. With 4 daughters I don't really ever want another student around here, you may bring your washing too! YUCK....no thanx! :naughty:
I don't get to come on here too often.
    Too buzy money saving!

My DD emptied her wallet of change into my hand! I did offer her some of it back but she said no put it in your pot. I didn't need telling twice! :j

Did some shopping for someone who couldn't get out and he told me to put the change in my pot....with pleasure. :T

I think soon I will need to empty it to get the coins into notes....but I wonder if I can resist counting the notes! :snow_laug

Had another shockingly bad few days with my pot, found a couple of coins when removing the pots from my sisters room so added them (and given the mouldy food left on them I deserved it!), probably wont be making much this weekend either as the male isnt around so I'm having a quiet couple of days in front of my desk. Must get out more to look for road kill!
On the plus side I have an interview for a job at a nightclub on Monday so fingers crossed I'll have some lovely tips to add when I start (being positive about my chances of getting the job).
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

    Morning all.....

Its Saturday....:j... which means no work for 2 days. :j Yipee... but more importantly its the day my Sealed Pot gets filled up. It still lives in the loft and is only filled on a Saturday. OH has to get it do the honours and fill it up....I don't like spiders :eek::eek: and I can't reach it, plus I CAN'T BE TRUSTED not to count it. I have £10.27 to go in this week.

Its great now to get such pleasure from saving instead of spending. :A

    Have a good day everyone.
