Hello I can't tell you how excited I am to start this challenge. :j

Could I please have my target set for £250 (number 295) I hope I'll save more but with the little one due this month I have no idea how things will go this year but I guess that's all part of the excitement too!

    morning everyone :santa2:

252 checking in for this years challenge, and can't wait. We put all our odd change in our pot (which is actually a really cute big hippo biscuit jar called 'Harry'). The children started with yesterdays coppers left over from their lunches :) I found 5p in the washing machine so that was popped in to. We are going for the full year this time.

    good luck everyone :T

  • Hey Everyone,

    Sparky thats fab news!!!!

Well, im back with avengence, was actually quite gutted this morning when i got to work and realised that i hadnt put my spare change in my pot :( will have to get back into the habit very quickly lol.

There were some fab totals on the last challenge. I have to say that i am a notorious bad saver - i am one of those people where the phrase spending money like water definately runs true, but you lot have given me the boost to actually save.

Ive looked back on what i spent my savings on and have realised that if i hadnt used my savings i would have been paying 13.9% interest per month as this would have gone on my cc menaing that instead of being £364 better off in the long run i would have been nearer £600 worse off if i had been making minimum payments over the year. So this challenge has saved me over £900!!!!

Well done everyone and good luck for the coming year
