Hi everyone - didnt realise this was new thread - need to pay more attention! I am still halfway through counting up last years sealed pots. Ended up with three because they all got full! So far have £78.00 so I am hoping for over £100.00 when it is all counted.

Sue - can you put me down for a target of £200.00 this year please? I am number 135 on your list.

    Thank you x x x

Hi - can I join please. No idea how much I will save but hopefully LOTS ..... Have only got a jar to save in at the moment, but will sellotape it up.
  • Hi again - I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on.... :rotfl:

I did manage to put £17 in my pot the week before Christmas. I work on a military base and there is a Thrift Shop near-by. Its like a charity shop as anything sold has a percentage taken to pass onto charity and the balance is paid to the person who put the item(s) in for sale. I'll have to have a sort out and 'donate' some more things in the next few weeks. Anything not sold after 8 weeks is either passed onto a local charity shop or you can ask for it back as long as you make a small donation. Its a great way to try and make some cash and help charity at the same time.

Sorry for rambling, but I was SO thrilled to get £17 on just 2 items which I'd had given to me (by an ex  ) so I made pure profit....:T

Anyhow - I hope all the regulars are keeping fine and also that the newbies are enjoying this as much as I am - Have Fun Everyone.....

  • Hi all - I am doing really well - :j - I have put all the change from my purse in the 'pink pot' and am not counting it - I like the thought of a nice surprise, kids are still passing money to me which is great, although me thinks I may get them their own sealed pots and get them started young!

2 of my friends think I have gone bonkers - I walked straight passed them whilst looking for 'roadkill' not doing as well as some, only got 6p in that pot but love the idea of this so will keep on looking.

Now for a silly question (me being so new to all this) but how do you get the signature things at the end of your threads ?? :o

  • oo lovely I'm on already from last year! I opened mine twice andhe netted 300+. After much deliberation I might add! As others have said I see no pint paing interest when I have money sitting there but this year have glossed piggy and redecorated him so he is now sealed again (need to put a hole in him too!!)..will pop in occasionally but just wanted to say I still want to do it- just not enough hours in the day to keep up with all threads/challenges!!

    Hi all,
I have now got 2 tins on the go, one for coppers and the other for everything else. The coppers one is doing really well but I have to admit I have not got much in my oher tin. However this is kind of a good thing as I have not had any money in my purse for days so not spent anything either.
Oh well its early days yet and I am going to make sure I have a healthy amount when I open the tins at the end of the year.
  • I have bagged up £17 so far and left it in the cupboard to get paid in at xmas, so I have more space left in the piggies... I was curious as to how much I had added to the tins so far.
