I'm not too sure about the best way to keep your ISP etc but I agree that a £13000 debt shouldn't make you despair. The best thing you've done is find this site. People here (with more knowledge than me) will help you. Also , please don't feel guilty about using the internet to communicate - it's a great way to feel part of things and you need something in your life that makes you feel good. Keep visiting MSE - you're not alone. Good luck.

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!! ( am I allowed to say that? )

I just typed a reply/questions again..... and hit post, and it asked me to log in again! once I did, post i had written was gone!

I know someone said best to write reply in Notepad etc first then copy paste.......

    I SHOULD have....... I know.

WHATS THE TIMED OUT figure of this site? it's terrible! I wrote a reply in less than ten mins i'm pretty sure.

I'll try again. but it's 4.16AM and I dont know if I can be bothered! f

MSE has never timed out on me, and at this time in the morning there's very little forum traffic, so probably not a server issue. I'm affraid the problem is more likely to be at your end...
  • second try at posting this........

The budget form states clothing, dentistry etc, yet does'nt include things like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste etc etc.. ????

Regarding CLOTHING? what SHOULD i put in there? I dont buy clothes.
Maybe once a year I'll buy a shirt, or a pair of shoes ( actually need some shoes as my old ones have now split across the widest part, so are unwearbale. I've got a fairly new pair of walking boots which where a gift off mum for christmas £15.99 from Somerfield of all places! They seem sturdy, but of course I'd look pretty stupid in a pair of regular trousers wearing them! so now i'm just wearing black jeans every day as i've nothing else )....
( no tracksuit, shellsuit or hoodies in my wardrobe! and never will be if I have a say! )

Dentistry? I WISH!!!! ha. I REALLY NEED LOTS OF WORK DONE, but I cant get it done as there are no desntists in an 80 mile radius of me taking on patients either NHS or private ( it's well documented in the news etc ) I dont qualify for emergency treatment as I'm not in 'severe' pain. I take 400mg Ibuprofen once or twice a day and this helps. Last emergency treatment ( ha ) was early last year. ( he pulled a tooth but shattered it, and i've still gota sharp part of it in my socket and gum has never healed over, so it always nags at me, yet not enough to have me classed as needing emergency treatment ) not seen the dentist since as he left the practice shortly after seeing me ( not related situation )

If you want to know the extent of my dentistry needed.... i'll let you know ( so you can judge the cost I'm facing, let alone the fact it's all a ticking time bomb of pain )

    Anyhooooooo......

Is there a national guideline as to what figures I'm supposed to enter in the section for clothing, dentistry etc???

If I state ZERO POUNDS in any section I'm not currently spending on, the overall affect will be that I have more ( on paper ) disposable income. If I put a figure in there, it'll look like I'm living it up and doing alright for myself ( I see some people have put £40 a MONTH for clothing! which seems mad ) I dont want to take the p**s, yet, if this figure is to be used in my overall income/outgoings calculation it's important that i dont 'do myself down' or give myself needless constraint whether it's being spent NOW or not.

sorry for my poor grammar etc, it's 5.09am and I still cannot sleep.

I think if you look on https://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk they give some ideas of what you should allow in a budget for clothing etc. Not sure about the dentistry, maybe you should get a quote and put something in for that too. If you need it done you need it done.

As for shampoo etc, I would put this in the beauty, health section

  • Seriously

I don't have the figures at work I will post later what figures are in our SOA that our Trustee/OR accepted

IIRC we have been allowed £40 each for clothes per month - household allowances eg food, presciptions etc £450 between us and we have travel allowances also - £100 petrol and bus fares for myself.

I will post this later - I do realise that every situation is different and depends on circumstances

Our internet package was not even mentioned as we did not put this as an expense it comes out of our budget for everything else

    Take care
