Just had an email from Curry's to say that they have cancelled my order as they have run out of stock  I wish they could work things out better and have a true stock level before accepting an order that they can't fulfill.0

It's not Play that's selling it - it's PlayTrade (i.e. like Amazon Marketplace) where Joe Public can sell items through the Play website for whatever amount they want. Unfortunately there's nothing to stop them putting in a price way above the rrp. Hope that helps.
*fingers crossed* Play gets some more stock soon. Thanks to the OP I managed to get one yesterday, had had one on order with Powerplaydirect for quite a few weeks.0 -
I can't believe that people are chasing this game down at such a high price when there are better games out there for the DS at a lot less. Leave off buying it till next Easter and you will pay a lot lot less.0

Funny that - it's just been in stock again and has been on and off during the day. I've tried to order one (gone through) so will see what I get from them. It's a bit off if they can keep putting them on the website as being in stock and not fulfilling earlier orders.

Play are taking the P1ss. I had several orders accepted today. Ordered and they now say awaiting stock. Just tried again just to make sure. Bought 2. Then I check order and it says I have bought but they are awaiting stock.
So in effect I have several ordered...............but they have none. Why take orders in the first place?? I desperately want one for my daughter.

Professor Layton and The Curious Village (DS)
Play.com have completely run out of stock and cannot guarantee that orders of this game taken after the 2nd December will be delivered in time for Christmas.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -
It's worth a try at buying them and then throwing a complaint at them when they can't fulfil it to see if they offer a discount voucher!
If I don't get it it's no big deal - just annoying to see it coming in and out of stock all day and knowing they can't fulfil the orders. 0 -
