Cheap Christmas Trees

Options
I live in Manchester and I love the Norwergin Spruce, as it doesn't drop it's needles. But I always end up sprending £30 or so on one. Does anyone know of a website which tells you when trees are for sale, what type they have and prices per height, by town?

cheers,
caroline

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

About the needles - I came across this website, that seems to rate the Christmas tree varieties by 'needle retention':

Yes i do find that large chains don't have the best ones. I got mine from a local garden centre and it was great, just an expense I was hoping to avoid again.

  • I'd recommend a Nordman Fir for not dropping, but I get mine from a local supplier which would be no good to you, sorry.

I did notice that Wilkinsons had some decent sized ones outside the store yesterday for £20; not sure what type they were though.
  • Not alot of use to you I Know:confused: but we have got the most fab supplier in Herefordshire and I have just been and bought 1 6ft and 1 5ft tree for £14.00,

They always last the season and it always seems such a shame to put out in December.
