Ideas for a 'family' gift.

I'm looking for suggestions for a single gift that I can send for the entire family. I usually buy a smallish gift each for £5-8 pounds. But as there are 3 or 4 members in my aunt/uncles families I would rather send a single gift to suit the family. (includes 2 teenage girls, not too keen on board games unless it something really good)

Also has to be postable as they all live over 400 miles away.

Any ideas as I am all out? Currently thinking about a floral gift at around £25-30 pounds but was hoping to spend around £10-15 only.

Thanks.

sceneit is a good family game - the friends version would be good with 2 teenage girls - amazon have it for about a tenner.
failing that, how about some cinema tickets or vouchers for pizza hut/pizza express or the like?

Family movie hamper - using either a cheap ish DVD or blockbuster vouchers, bag of popcorn / crisps / etc, if you want you could also add a clapperboard (eBay/Asda), mini bottles of wine for the adult & coke for the kids .....

How about something like family fortunes? Not just like a board game if that makes sense.
  • Jenga or Poker always go down well wth famlilies.

Alternatively how about the big box of xmas chocs from thorntons thats half price, it looks pretty impressive and great for sharing.

You could buy a family game that comes on dvd, like Deal or no Deal, and add little snacks etc.

Could get cinema vouchers or a day out for the family - something to bring them together that they'd all enjoy.

Last year we were given a really useful gift - a Woolworths wind-up Lantern/Radio/Mobile phone charger which cost £13 - ideal for use in power cuts and for some light sitting out in the garden on summer evenings. It even includes a mosquito buzzer. Don't know if they're still available in Woolies Branches - their website is not working at the moment but some time ago we bought another one for somebody via their website.
