Yep, the disadvantage to online shopping.

Although you can get some real bargains though. Once they didn't have the mince we wanted so (Tesco) substituted it with the value mince, which was on sale at 10p!
  • Im sorry to appear so thick but not saved a delivery slot before - Ive just reserved a 23rd dec slot & put stuff in my trolley so do I have to go through checkout & give card payments in order to save it? and then I can change the order at a later date? is that right?

Yes, but you don't need to know exactly what you want at the moment. If you put some high cost items in your basket and go through checkout you can amend your order up to 5pm on the day before your delivery. But you MUST go back through the checkout EVERY time you amend your order.

The only reason I say a high cost item is it's easier to remove one or two items rather than 10 cheaper items.

Yes you have to put in and pay for a minimum order and you can change right upto 5 o'clock the day before.....However last year I got stung by Tesco as unbeknown to me they changed it 2 days before and i missed the deadline...and i only had the bear minimum in my badket so ended up having to cancel and rush out and buy all my stuff....nightmare!!!!
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D

Got my slot booked for the 22nd :) Up until a couple of months ago, I got every shop delivered by Tesco but I got fed up of things missing/substituted every time. With ASDA, it's rare anything is missing or substituted and I feel I get more for my money
