+++Sorry if this has already been posted but a few people in another forum thread were after a cheap way of getting sudoku puzzles. I thought I'd put my reply for all you folks in the freebies section+++

NEEDS A PC Running MS Excel (Part of microsoft office)

Hi there,

There is a free solution if you have microsoft Excell (Spreadsheet program). Download your free sudoku ".xls" file from computeractive.co.uk/sudoku. You need to enable macros to run it and voila free sudoku for life. It creates a random grid for 3 difficulty settings and has a number spread adjustment as well. Also you can simply print off the grid and check against the solution later.

Hope this helps

Jules

From the book of Chris, Volume IV, Chapter 4, Page 19:

"And the holy men of the north did visit upon https://www.microsoft.com and in the holy search box, located up high in the top-right corner they did typeth the words 'excel viewer' and then they did click Search, and then present unto them was a series of results and they did clicketh on the first one and download the Free Microsoft Excel Viewer 2003, (also located at office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/xlviewer.aspx) and they did thank the Lord for he had bestowed upon them a truly wonderful gift and it was truly a joyous occasion."

I'm pretty sure that the free Excel viewer will let you see or print an Excel spreadsheet, but it wont run macros. You need the full version of Excel for this.
