yes, it tastes just the same as semi skimmed milk, my DD drinks either 'green' or 'purple' milk, whatever is bought from the supermarket. Sainsbury's have their own brand 'one' which is orange lidded.
I've seen 'one' purple lidded milk in Sainsbury's, Asda, Tesco, all in Scotland, don't know if that makes a difference or not?
The purple milk is a bit more expensive, iirc.Would be cheaper to convert to skimmed milk, even less fat but the same price as ordinary milk. I've been on skimmed milk for years. Not for coffee, though, I never did get used to that.;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

ive seen it in tesco and asda, and sainsburys do their own 1% fat milk, with an orange lid0

The 1% milk (orange) in Sainsburys is £1 and tastes almost the same as semi-skimmed. I don't notice a difference anyway!“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

It's called "The One" milk by Robert Wiseman dairies. I used to drink 1% all the time in the USA, so this is lovely to me! Tastes slightly less creamy than semi-skimmed (which I prefer) and slightly nicer than skimmed. A lot of times, Tesco has it on offer for £1 a carton (I think it runs just over 3-3.5 pints?), so it's actually cheaper than normal milk.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Yep, I buy this (purple lid) in Tesco where it is often on offer £1 a large "bottle". I think today it was £1.30ish. I have seen it in another shop for £1.45, so it seems to vary but it gets the thumbs up in our house for taste etc.0
