Sanrizz are offering a free haircut on 14th Dec. They are situated in Knightsbridge, London.
Call 020 7589 4531 to make an appointment.

Though this was offered as a one day thing, I've been offered free haircuts from them before for whenever time.

Thanks for posting this. I'm desperate for a haircut this week, and the Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy academies are fully booked.
Are the haircuts at Sanrizz any good? Obviously it depends on the student cutting your hair, but different places have different standards. And my hair is hard to cut.
Normally I don't care that much, but I'm flying home on Monday and have to look presentable. If they mess up, or if they don't have the students to do the cut, I'm screwed.
I hope they don't mind that I have short hair. I told the woman over the phone, but then never listen when you book.0 -
Alan-d just behind the plaza on Oxford street offer free haircuts all the time on a walk in basis. Not too sure of their opening times, but i went in last week at 12.30 and they said i could come back at 2pm,3.30 or 4.30 as all the students were on lunch. I think they also do the same kinda shifts in the morning too.
Very friendly staff too.

There are lots of schools that offer free haircuts in London. I'm specifically looking for one that's not for beginners. I have a short, strong haircut. A beginner would mangle it. I once walked out of a 'proper' salon because the hairdresser was going to cut it with a shaver, like a barber. She actually asked me what number I wanted. I had no idea what she was talking about until I saw the shaver.
Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy both have advanced schools for qualified hairdressers who have several years experience. When I called Sanrizz, the woman assured me that the students were all experienced hairdressers. I'm just concerned that I'll turn up and they say that my hair is too short.0 -
Great post for those who can use it - thanks!
Can't expect poster to vouch for standard/type of cut - you have to take a chance, just be sure to explain what you want, if you go for it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's always a risk to get them to cut your hair but I'm sure any bad haircuts aren't intentional! I know someone who's always very happy with their results from vidal sassoon.

I just got home from my free haircut at Sanrizz. I thought I'd share my experience in case anyone else is considering going there.
This is the worst haircut I've had in as long as I can remember.
Before making the appointment, I specifically checked whether the students were experienced hairdressers. The woman on the phone assured me that they were. I told her that I have short hair that is not suitable for beginner students. She said that was fine.
The students there today were absolute beginners. They did not even know how to shampoo hair. An instructor had to do it for them. They needed instructions on how to comb it. Sectioning was out of the question.
The whole experience took almost 3 hours. The instructor did much of the cutting because the student was so hopeless. The final result was a mess.
I could've had the same haircut from the barber down the street. He would've taken 15 minutes and charged a fiver for it.
When I go to the Vidal Sassoon Academy, the students there take a long time to get all of the little details right. The instructors insist on perfection. There was none of that here. The haircut is completely butch. It might as well have been done with one of those clippers that you attaching to a vacuum cleaner.
I've been going to student salons for years and have never had this sort of experience. The whole operation is completely unprofessional.
I am incredibly annoyed. Tomorrow morning I have to fly home to see family and friends whom I have not seen in over a year. I going to have to wear a hat for the next two weeks.0
