CreditExpert - a handy tip

About a month ago I signed up to CreditExpert (https://www.creditexpert.co.uk) for their 30 day trial. There were a lot of addresses on my credit report which had nothing to do with me, so just before Christmas, I submitted a query to have these removed.
Because of the holiday period, the query hasn't yet been resolved, but I didn't want to pay any charges, so today I called them to cancel my membership before they charged me (Customer Service Freephone: 0800 656 9000)
The guy at customer services was happy to cancel it for me, and he asked how I found the service. I told him it was good, and told him about the query I had submitted which was still ongoing, but that I just couldn't justify spending any money on it at the moment.
So he offered to extend my free trial for another 30 days; that way my query would get resolved, I'd have more time to check out the service, and then after the 30 days I could still cancel! Naturally, I accepted
So basically, if you're coming to the end of your 30 day trial, give customer services a call, as they have the authority to extend it, and are quite happy to do so with no fuss whatsoever.
Hope this helps someone!

You would have received a reply to your query regardless of whether you were still a member. CRAs have to answer queries about your credit report by law within 28 days.“Official Company Representative
