Well, I didn't bring my lunch to work, for once, so i spent £2.99 on a Boots meal deal. Was worth it tho, coz i had a lovely smoked salmon sandwich!

As i was already in Boots, i got two almost free Time Delay products using the vouchers mentioned on the Freebie and Voucher forum boards - so that cost me £1.

Then i went to WHSmiths and bought two magazines using the leftover cash on my WHSmith gift card, so that cost £3.30 (expensive girlie magazins - my bad habit).

    So that's £7.30 - worse than usual!

Only realised the other day, I couldn't tax my car as the MOT had run out (it's been declared off road since December while OH fixed it.)

So, OH took it in for MOT this morning (costing £40) and.... it b****y failed! So, need to get new windscreen wiper blades for it (have no idea how much these are) and have to take it back to garage next Tuesday morning as they need to replace the rubber around the suspension as it has perished... about £50! Although they will re-test it afterwards for free.

No driving lessons for me this week then...

Other than that, I have to order a new smoothie maker from Amazon as I have a £5 voucher to use, will order Martin's book as well while I'm there. :money: I did get a smoothie maker from Argos, but returned it as it was scratched and they didn't have any more in stock, checked on their website last night and it has gone up in price by £8, so I'm not buying it from there now on principle!

So total spend today will be £70 ish plus whatever wiper blades cost!

Not going out anywhere over the weekend, but got a new xbox game (Fable) and a Terry Pratchett book in the sale from play.com, so those should keep me nicely occupied for a while.

Friday is my 'treat day' so rather than packing sarnies, I had a bacon, egg, tomato & mushroom butty on my way to work -£1.85

And I went to our subsidised (and fantastic) canteen for lunch, roast pork, roast spuds and all the trimmings followed by apple crumble & custard...lovely!! - £2.70 for the lot

I find having a treat day works well, I bring sarnies every other day, but It gives me something to look forward to at the end of the week.

  • Hmm.. lunch at work and a bar of chocolate... Oh and a coke...
    So about £4 so far..

Not good, but better than Wed when I got a £270 bill for servicing my car... gulp!!!
