Every year there is a Xmas tree in British Home Stores with names of children on it, and you can buy a present for them. Apparently this year social services haven't given it to the store (too busy one would presume!). Does anyone know of a similar scheme anywhere in Belfast. Thnx in advance!

Awh....I always lift a tag off the tree in BHS....It seems more personal knowing the name and age of the person you are buying for ......0

I know me too! I'm pretty disappointed that it seems these kids will miss out this year0

dont fret, as i nipped into m&s in belfast city centre to avail of their bathroom facilities and on the top floor halfway along the main isle, there was a tree, and a table with two men sitting there and it said give a present to a child for xmas or something along the lines of that, so maybe they just relocated to m&s so the kids could get better quality stuff0

Hi,
I was also looking for the BHS tree earlier this month - was just watching the news and they said there is a family appeal in NI and they're short of gifts this year - they're in need of toys for boys and girls of ages 4-13 in particular. Info here http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/familyappeal/ They said the closing date for gifts is the 15th.0 -
Have this tree this year. You will find it on the third floor near the kiddies clothes and Xmas giftsJellynose0
