Overdraft and credit agreement ?

Is there a credit agreement for an Overdraft ?.

The reason I ask is that I'm currently trying to sort out my debts and the only debt we have in joint names is the overdraft on our bank account.

I assume when we opened the account we would have signed a credit agreement at that point ?.

Originally the account was in my name only but when we got married 12 years ago my wife was added to it. About 6 years ago I went into the branch to arrange an overdraft and they did it there and then on the screen in front of me but I'm sure I never signed anything at that point and my wife couldn't have had as she wasn't there.

Any ideas where we stand ?.

Thanks.

I believe it is included in the application form that you sign.

Look on the bank's website, are their terms and conditions listed under the Freedom of Information act?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.

When you signed for the account originally it will have a section on overdrafts saying you agrree to abide by whatever the terms and conditions of their overdrafts are at the time you get one. So yes, there is a written agreement.
