Chest Infestions?

Is it just me or is everyone lately suffering with chest infections? I have not been to the drs yet, could not get an appointment before Monday due to the demand but I'm pretty sure I've got it.... so does half my office!

I'm there with you..... a simple cold has had me coughing for three weeks....

Flu seems to be about too.

I'm not sure if mine's a chest infection, but when I do cough it does seem to come from there, so it may be spreading! It's mostly cold symptoms, I've had it since Monday. I felt awful Wednesday-Friday.

I had the flu jab a few weeks ago (In Morrisons!!!).

But I got a cold about 9 days ago & I've still got an awful cough.

I haven't had a cough since I was a smoker. I sound like a heavy smoker now:mad:

flu is one thing, but if your whole body aches, and you find it hard to breathe normally / walk down the road, you need to get checked out asap!

- especially with the cold weather which could make it worse. i had a nasty bout, 3 years ago- last one in my office to go down with it.

getting a peniccillin lookalike (alergic to the real thing) made me think i was on acid, but thankfully no probs since.

With me it was beng sick earlier in the week. Still not eating right (so saving money!)

That's the flu! A lot of people think the flu is just a bad cold. It's a lot more than that. When I was a manager at a call centre I was surprised at the number of staff who phoned in sick on one day claiming to have the flu but were back at work the next day with nothing more than a sniffle.

I have only had the flu twice in my life (not every winter like some people claim) once when I was 7 and once when I was 28 and on each occasion I was unable to move for over a week. The other winters I have had a cold, like most people.

no hula, that really was a chest infection- needed 2 courses of antibiotics to clear it!

flu i can sort with hot orange and whisky.. 8-)

I've often thought I've had 'the flu' but this recent bout we've had is the real thing-I've not left the house since Thurs and all we've done is cough and feel dire. My poor children are in a right state-it's been awful. My DH had it and his ended up as a sinus infection and he was off work for nearly 2 weeks-rotten. Even my childminder who has never had a day off sick in nearly 6 years has had to take time off. I've never known anything like it.
