Is there a local college near you? Or a University? Many colleges can't provided their own childcare facilities but there are probably some students, either full- or part-time, who could use a childminder whilst they study. If you are willing to work for a few hours in the evening, anywhere that runs night classes may have a few people who need children looked after.

Have you put a card up in your local Tesco/Asda?

Could the people whose children you have looked after recommend you to friends/family?

Are there any social groups local to you? Many hold coffee mornings or the like and would appreciate the chance to have someone else look after their children whilst they catch up with friends. Your local Church may run some sort of social thing...?
If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.

Briona hmm no uni's and 1 college who have their own creche and don't let advertise! Don't have a local asda or tescos but have morrisons and sainsburys and they won't let advertise either due to not wanting anything coming back on them?!
My old or current parents are great and do keep their ears open but nothing as yet..i also take the little ones to play groups the zoo etc and ask and advertise there! newsagents etc all done too, got dd and her friend to do a huge leaflet drop for me too a while back, got 1 call but never rung back, may get her to go out again!

Chell that site is great thankyou very much, yes i do have stickers in the car and a magnet on the back!! will check out that ebay one though too..
    Thanks again x

Try www.gumtree.co.uk - I think that most categories of advert are free.

Try putting an advert in your local hospital.

Here in glos, nurseries try to set up nearthe hospital as there is so much business, there are about 10 within 1/2 mile,

The hospital do have their own but there is far too much demand
