this months spending...advice, opinions welcome

I see you have a thread saying you are on a payment plan for one of your debts. Surely paying £140 off of that debt would have been more beneficial.

Maybe set yourself a budget each month you can spend on make up or treat yourself to one item a month or something.

like i said this was last months spending, and i haven't been as bad this month...although i'm still sitting here with not even 1p to my name.

Seems like an odd thing to say but if you stopped spending when you did buy something it would feel sepecial! Maybe you should write the FULL amount you owe on a piece of paper in you wallet/ purse so you see it every time you spend it will make you trhing about what you should do with the cash you are spending. I don't think you have had a full lightbulb moment if you are still spending!

i'm not still spending, the only reason i don't have money left is cause i've been makin overpayments to my debts this month, which i've never done before

Maybe you should post up your spends for the last 7 days then you can see how much better you are doing and this will give you real motivation to carry on.

Well done on doing your overpayments too as I know this can be tough :T

Jenjade - I like the idea of having the amount in your purse to constantly remind you. Although if I had got as far as the till and my purse was out I would be too embarassed to put things back

I am sorry if my responce sounded harsh but on the information we have been given it just shows you have spent loads on cosmetics etc. Maybe you should go through your cosmetics and e bay any you don;t need or use. It would be a good idea to post the last 7 days if thats what you want comments on? Well done on the overpayments;)

Thanks, i have a spending diary on here too, but i just wanted a bit of feedback to keep me motivated cause i get paid next friday, so need to keep myself on track!

I'm not sure about selling on ebay at the mo, i dunno why but my paypal is messed up just now, i'm not recieving anything from sellers when they send money to me. Have emailed paypal about it and am waiting to hear back from them.
Also i don't think i want to sell a huge amount of my collection, as a lot of it is limited edition items and are very hard to get a hold of, plus i need quite a lot of it, as i make makeup videos/tutorials on youtube so i need a selection of colours etc, but the cheaper stuff i have i will sell, as i wouldn't touch any of it anymore.
