2500 Bonus Points from Tesco Home Insurance

Hi, I'm not sure were to post this, but if it is in the wrong place, please can someone move it for me. I just got my renewal from Halifax for my Home Insurance, and I wasn't best pleased, so thought I would have a look at TESCO. Apart from saving me a whopping £327, Tesco are currently giving an extra 2500 bonus clubcard points for getting a quote and subsequently purchasing a home insurance policy between 4 January and 31 March. Well worth a look if you are about to renew. Can't see this posted anywhere else, but apologies if it has.

Sounds like an extremely good deal. However, just a word of warning - I am still waiting for my 2500 points from an on-line wine order dating back to the end of October. Have been advised that they will be added in time for the February posting of vouchers, but to date they are not showing up on my Tesco Clubcard.

I took out Home & Contents insurance yesterday - but not with Tescos since they are a whopping 30% more expensive than Zurich Insurance, for whom I get a £90 cashback via TopCashBack (Rpoints also have a cashback for Zurich, but only 4,500 points = £45).

The Zurich Insurance also gives me twice the amount of content insurance Tesco would give for the higher policy price! And the building cover is significantly higher with Zurich, too.

For me, the Tesco home insurance looks incredibly bad value for money (your mileage may vary).

Tesco didn't come anywhere near the top of possible insurers when I shopped for quotes (see Martin's article on home insurance )
