WMF exploit - the Official Microsoft update is out

I thought this deserved its own thread. Microsoft have released the update to cover the WMF exploit, get it at your usual place.

(I use windowsupdate.microsoft.com)

As its been released earlier than usual - and it's important - I've simply posted this to bump it up the list.

Everyone should now force a Windows Update to install this patch ASAP. If you've not done so, do it now. Reboot required after installation.

I'd installed the hex hotfix patch as recommended here - do I need to unistall this before installing the microsoft one - (which has downloaded itself as an automatic update?)If so, how do I unistall it??

Instill the MS one first. Then reboot and goto your Add/Remover programs.

The other patch to remove should be "Windows WMF Metafile Vulnerability HotFix" - uninstall that and reboot.
