Hi there
I know there have been many loan companies fined for mis selling although these do not actually ring the bell.
You can check this out though by contacting the FSA who will be able to confirm this to you or maybe check on their website.;)
However, you may have still have been mis sold and still worth pursuing if this is the case.
They have 8 weeks to respond to your letter, and if you've not heard anything by the 8 weeks I would then complain to the Financial ombudsman service and add on the complaint form they have had the 8 weeks but you have heard nothing.
How long ago did you sent the letter hun?
And did you post by using recorded delivery?;)
Good luck and please keep us posted and/or post on the actual PPI reclaiming - discussion thread where myself and others will be able to help you to the next step.
Just click on loans, after you have done that on top of the page you will see the above mentioned thread.;)

Hi there hun thanks for the input for the above poster.
Also just to add for the above poster:
Unfortunately not so many first responses come back successful, they may give you the opportunity to forward further information in another letter, unless of course they mention on the first letter that this is final and that you can now take it to the financial ombudsman service (FOS), they must confirm this and also enclose a leaflet about the FOS as well.
Have you checked out the reclaiming letter template?
And yes always post by recorded delivery, this if your proof so you can check on the royal mail website (Track and trace), you can check to see when they have received it and take 8 weeks for them to respond from there.
If they come back with a response within 2 weeks and if another letter is required basically then as they did not exhaust the 8 weeks they would then have 6 weeks to respond and so on, but make them aware of the timescale they have.;)
Keep us posted hun and as always ask for help when required, cheers.
Good luck
Di

RBS or Bank of Scotland? The two are different companies.
RBS have definitely not been fined for PPI misselling.0
