Just got my letters through from Godiva they have dropped their rates by a measly 0.5% for my particular type of BTL mortgage to 5.29% - the worst thing is I have a large chunk of money from them around £620k.
However it does not cost more than £500 to get out of the entire deal problem is where to go at the present moment - answer nowhere!
Anyone else dealing with Coventry/Godiva?

Have had a mortgage with CBS for over 10yrs. Very disappointed with the .5% reduction and have told them so.
In the last 2 months the BBR has dropped 2% and the best they can do is give a .5% reduction on my mortgage product which is a SVR.
TLC not PLC? Id recommend a slogan change!0 -
Apparently they are the 4th largest building society and have not converted to a PLC. They are completely contradicting their status but hey ho what to do.
Interestingly on 620k worth of mortgages I am saving just under £300 pcm with Godiva. On another mortgage for £280k with Clydesdale I am saving £320 pcm.0 -
Maybe they should go PLC as that`s where I intend to move to at a difference of - 1.25% to what CBS can offer.0

would love to move but the BTL market is rubbish at the moment - wish I had moved everything to Clydesdale but their deal at the time was awful. I suppose things even themselves out0
