Three Mobile using Buchanan Clarke Wells after 3 years

Hi received a called yesterday from Buchanan Clarke Wells requesting a 15 pound payment for Three mobile after 3 years... oddly enough during those three years I was still a customer with a different account albeit. I cannot recall owing them money as I always paid ontime via DD. Had a look for bills but cannot find many. Was wondering what you guys would suggest? I have had no warning from Three themselves.....this is the first call and its from BCW...... saying pay by the third of December or were sending the heavy mob around.... Its only 15 quid....but that 15 quid better off in my pocket.... So dont wanna just hand it over. Any recommendations on next steps??
Many Thanks

i got a letter off Lowell regarding a 3 account from 3 1/2 years ago now i knew i owed it but i was a customer on contract again so dont understand it, i am paying mine as i owe it but you could request a cca /s.a.r but to be honest it would end up costing that £15 with the DPA request and recorded deliveriesSealed pot challenger # 10

I would write to them and ask for a statement of account and confirmation that the £15 is full and final settlement of the debt. If they can prove you owe it and that they aren't charging any more than that, then it might be easier to clear it.
Sad, but true - it'd cost you about that to find out with CCA requests etc. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

It would cost you the price of a recorded delivery ( £2.60 ish ) the envelope, paper and the ink to print out the letter from the template available on the National Debtline site.
'Just paying the £15' is this sort of thing that these parasites rely on!!!
Make them prove it! Also ask for a copy of their Complaints procedure while you are about it, whether you have any intention of complaining or not.:D stay wonky
