Hi, can't help with template or letter but want to wish you very good luck and hope you get your wish. My old company merged a couple of years back and I was desperate to get out after a LIFETIME working there. I was very fortunate and my wish came true. All the very best.0

pricew,
Have you had a chat with anyone (ie someone senior to you) about it?
I know when I took VR that being senior can cut both ways - they can achieve big savings by letting you go if they can do it without replacing.
But if you are invaluable, or you might leave anyway, then you are unlikely to be selected.
So I would suggest it needs a more subtle approach than just a template - you need to be thinking about proposals for how they could reorganise to save your post.
Once you have seen how the land lies, then send in a simple e-mail saying you want to be considered.
Good luck - believe me, it's a great feeling if it works;)"Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm" (Sir Winston Churchill)0 -
One thing to be careful about- do you have mortgage PPI and will it still cover you if you do this voluntarily?Owing to financial constraints, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off until further notice.
