Glad things were sorted in the end. sorry to hear about your hubby hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. i just stumbled on this thread and was hooked, i knew the CSA were a bit daft but this has really been a joke.
i have learned through this site and postings like yours to keep every receipt etc and i bet you are glad you did, how different could things have been without the evidence you had. dread to think.
hope your hubby can get over the stress etc caused.slowly going nuts at the world:T0 -
Fantastic news, Marli
Now you need to demand an Ex gratia - Consolatory payment.

I am so glad this worked out for you!!
Sue them tho, Make sure they pay for the stress and grief that they have caused you and your husband.......Gosh I wouldnt stop there, I would get on to every national paper and explain your situation, what has happened, these people are civil servants who we pay out of our taxes to treat us in this way.....somehow I think the government and some so called civil servants are on a power trip, make their lives hell the way they have done to you, shout from the highest places make them squirm:D
But seriously consider going to the media......name and shame!!!!!:jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -
Marli our story is very similar to yours, read my post CSA very unfair, you will see also we had no corresspondance but what worse is on the kids birth cert and baptism cert it has the fathers name on it !!!!which aint my hubby!!!0

I am so glad this worked out for you Marli. Thanks for updating us, these harrowing stories certainly prey on my mind and I'm sure others here and it's so good to hear a resolution.
I hope your husband continues to do improve healthwise and that he is aware of what a lucky man he is to have a wife like you

Thanks for all your support.
At the moment i'm not interested in sueing or anything. I just want to concentrate 100% on getting my husband fit and well again.
Our lawyer has asked for more information on certain things though as she is deeply unhappy at how they initially "chose" my husband as the father when even we could find the real father very easily by looking in the phone book!! So I'm leaving it to her and if she decides to do anything further that's fine, but I'm not wanting anything to do with it atm.
It has just shattered my confidence and faith in the government and it's departments in this country though completely.

Glad it got resolved. I understand getting a payment is not top of your priorities right now but you must do so. If only to maybe prevent this sort of case happening a bit less.
Quite gobsmacking really.0 -
I know i should Mark, but I really don't know that we could face any sort of battle with them. My husband certainly isn't up to anything like that and they won't speak to me despite him given me written permission (which they've received in writing 4 times by recorded delivery).
According to them they have no coffers to pay out any sort of compensation so we'd be asking the tax payer to pay us. That sits quite uncomfortably with me, although admittedly i haven't looked into the ins and outs.
