monsoon dress

I have brought a dress for a wedding and now Monsoon as doing 30% off online or instore with a voucher. The dress is unworn and I was thinking of taking it back instore (you can return online purchases within 28 days and im within that) The only probs I have is do I need to know the PIN for the credit card I used online or dont i need that for returns and also will they let me repurchase the dress or does it have to go back to the .com people.

The saving on a £85 dress is £25.50 with the 30% discount so its a lot to save!

(see im getting the hang of this sassy shopping)

You do usually need your pin for them to refund your card, I've had this problem returning M&S stuff ,they just give me a credit note so I would think Monsoon would do the same, then of course you will have to spend the £85 there.
    Booo!!!
  • Thanks Violetta, if necessary will ask them to put it on a gift card, at least then I can spend the money on something at a later date.

I have had it refunded onto other cards before - once my card expired so I had been sent a new one and other times I have handed a different one over. They don't often check the card to see if its the same one. But if they do you can always say the other card was lost and subsequently cancelled etc - they are usually ok about refunding to another card then xx
  • i can't speak for monsoon but our machine doesn't ask for a pin for refunds.
  • Hey guys...manager could override Pin request as it was a credit, and then friend repurchased the same dress with discount from stock they had. Really pleased as saved £25!

That's great news, glad it's not just me who doesn't know my pin I only use cc for online shopping so never need the pin, The young girl looked at me like I was daft when I took some stuff back to M&S, she told me "if you contact your bank they can send you another one" sure she would have patted me on the head if she could.
Bet your dress is even more gorgeous now.

  • Hi

I bought a dress form Monsoon 10 days ago when it had £30 off. I want to take it back and get 30% off now (will save me an extra £15). Can I do this as on the back of the receipt it says sale items must be returned within 7 days. I know the 30% offer counts as a sale (it says on web), but does the £30 off? Anyone work there and know??

The ladies in the shop were quite good about the PIN and understood why I didnt want to have it! But know what you mean about your experience in M & S....but actually we are the sensible ones...otherwise its far too easy rto stick allsorts of spending on it! Yes my dress is even more gorgeous with £25 off!

Littlemissmoney...personally if there it is easy to get to the store and its not a special trip then no harm in trying or you could ring up the store and ask.....in the interest of good customer service if they allow it you are more likely to shop there
