Can I claim JSA?

Hi guys
Some advice if I may to see if I can claim JSA
I was working for the same compnay for 10 years and went on Maternity leave last year and have just finished
I can no longer do the same job due to having 2 children, 1 in school and one ill
The job was until 1am!
Therefore I cannot go back
I am however looking for a job with hours I can do but can I claim JSA as I left my old job due to not being able to work the hours?
I have always paid NI

Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!

I take it you have a partner who works?
You could negotiate a restricted JSA agreement say for 16 hours per week. The onus would be on you to show the type of work you want to do is available at the times and hours negotiated.
Contributions based claim only if your partner works over 24hrs.
You may also be referred to a childcare advisor to assist in finding suitable childcare if you need it.====================================================
