Overdraft Arrangement fee charge by HSBC

BF and I went to HSBC last Friday to arrange an overdraft of £100 as we were often getting a little overdrawn as our wages don't quite go into the joint account at the right time (I changed jobs and my payment day changed). After much faffing around they eventually said they could only do it if they took £100 off of my BF's current account overdraft and moved it to our joint account (I think that the credit check they did threw up some alarm bells on my side!!)
Anyway, I checked the account today as my BF said the amount in the account and my spreadsheet did not match (which they have up to now) and they have charged us an Overdraft arrangement fee of £25 which they did not tell us about, nor did they get us to sign any paperwork!!
Anyway, it's a long story just to say: Can i claim this back? I'm hopping mad because it's like they are saying: we can't get all these fees out of you anymore so now we are gonna rip you of one last time! I know it's only £25 but it's the principle of the thing. Grrrrrrrrr
