Wescot/O2 mobile debt but no contact at all!

I had an 02 contract and cancelled it back last Feb and ported the number over to another network, then, back to 02 again for a better deal. Number has stayed the same ever since. I paid what I assumed was the final bill in March and had no further correspondance about the account at all. I moved house in May, put all my post on redirect and it has been ever since, just in case any stray post didn't get the address changed, but I informed all the companies I still have dealings with, including 02, with whom I have 3 contracts (1 for me, 1 for my bro and one for my mum). I have also kept the same landline number at the new property too.
Last night I got a call at home from Wescot calling in reference to an unpaid debt of some £130 to 02 for a mobile phone account. Having called 02 to investigate, it is the final bill for that account, but I HONESTLY received nothing at all, so having no further contact I assumed the account was settled. They have made no attempt to reach me, despite having all my contact details, even if these mystery bills and letters had gone to my old address, I still would have had them. So, Wescot are demanding full payment, 02 aren't interested and are basically saying they have records of letters and bills being sent out all the while, and they have tried calling me on my landline....utter bunkum. I have no quarm with paying the money, it was for international calls when I went to Dominican last Jan, and they were late coming through from the roaming network, but I am furious that they are saying any defaults on my credit file (of which there are none yet for this account but who knows!) will not be removed as they are factually correct ie the money is owed and is late. I simply cannot afford the money in one go, and nobody is willing to help, what can I do? I am being shafted for 02's mistake, not mine, how can I pay money that I don't even know I owe!

CC limits £26000
Long term CC debt £0
Total low rate loan debt £3000
Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.
