Old Northern Bank note - can I change it?

Hi Folks,

I received an old Northern Bank £10 note in my change yesterday evening in Tesco of all places. I didn't realise at the time - it's only when I handed the note over the counter at Spar this morning that the lady there told me it was an old one and they couldn't accept it.

Can I still get it changed in one of the banks? Or should I bring it back to Tesco and ask for an exchange on it?

according to the northern bank website, you should be able to exchange it for a new note at any northern bank branch.

I would follow the advice given above, it's the best option in this case. NB should also be able to advise what to do if you find any more in circulation.
