Advice re DMP please

We are struggling to make payments on everything we owe and I am beginning to think that a DMP may be a suitable solution. I have already tried to negotiate with creditors myself but to no avail so would really like CCCS or similar to help out.
What I would like to know is can CCJ's still be registered when your on a DMP? and do the phone calls eventually stop?
I work in a small office in a building society where debt is frowned upon and at the moment I am getting tons of calls at work from creditors and it could put me at risk of being disciplinary.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I found that crerditors were much more responsive to CCCS than to me also it puts a barrier between you and them. However its not a garuntee that your creditor will play ball and accept the DMP.What I would like to know is can CCJ's still be registered when your on a DMP? Yes they can however if you are on a DMP and trying to pay the debts the creditor is more likley to not take you to court. Also the court will usualy take into account that you are on the DMP and are not likley to look indly on creditors that do this.

Again unfortunatly it depends on the creditor however if all you ever do is quote your CCCS nunmber to them and say they are handeling it they usualy get bored.

.
This you can stop. Write to them and tell them not to contact you on that number as it is a work number. Infact you can tell them to only comunicate with you in writing. If they carry on threaten to report them for harrasment.
Good luck its really hard at first but once the DMP is up and running its a relief."You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts" - Arthur Schlesinger

Hi
Unfortuantely when you are on a DMP they can still set a CCJ if the creditor so wishes! Had that problem with Nationwide as they got very grumpy even though they agreed to the payment plan and I have never missed a payment to them!
I think they were trying to get a charging order against my property, which they managed to do so in the end!
Sorry not good news, but even if you are on a DMP the defaults against your debt will show anyway, so it may not matter too much0 -
Thanks for the information.
I am worried about all the defaults and CCJ's because it will mean I will most likely lose my job and then I will be in an even worse position. It does feel like there is no way out.Total Debt [STRIKE]£36323[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] £19000 January 20160 -
Can you not have a conversation with your manager and maybe HR. I am sure they understand that people are now finding it difficult to manage0
